Our Thailand-and-Burma sailing itineraries
We are offering two "combo" trips this winter; one sailing from
Thailand-to-Burma (Jan 22-Feb 4th); the other from Burma-to-Thailand (Feb 13th-26th)
We think we've got the best of both worlds in this trip; for one week, the
fascinatng Thai culture and legendary friendliness of the Thai people... the stunning
scenery of limestone cliffs and hidden sea caves... and let's not forget the
taste-bud-tingling, fantastic Thai FOOD !!!
Then a rare chance to experience such a pristine, undeveloped part of the world like the
Mergui Archipelago of Burma (Myanmar)... last year, we didn't see a single other "foreigner"
boat for the whole week; only sea gypsies and local fishing boats.
We'll also be spending a couple of nights (either on arrival or at the end, depending on
trip direction) at Kata Delight Villas in Phuket - a wonderful little hidey-hole oasis nestled in the
southern-most corner of Kata Beach. Chance to try out some of the more modern-day trappings
of Thai culture, yet escape the crowds when you want to!
At the other end of the trip, we could not miss the thermal hot springs in Ranong; we'll spend
one night at the spa there, to either recover from jetlag on the way in, or have one last
decadent fling before flying home on the way out !
