Kapi Creek

A very tranquil little anchorage, with a tiny village scattered around the hillsides. There is just one little taverna on the waterfront, which serves the best freshly caught fish!

Up in the village, we made a great connection a few years ago; whilst hiking around, we met Murat and his family. He invited us in to drink sage tea, and fed us on freshly baked bread and honey from his own bees—a feast fit for the gods!! There in the tiny living room was a loom—we discovered that his wife and sister-in-law weave the most beautiful carpets. Normally, Murat sells them in Dalaman; but, hey—what an opportunity to buy right from the family, no commission-gathering middlemen! So we now often go up to his house and see what has come off the loom lately; and it's amazing how often our people have come up "Just to look, I don't need a carpet". . .and ended up falling in love with their handiwork. . . :)
