Meet Vassilis—our first SeaScape yacht!
She's a modern-designed 55' sloop, with a semi-pilothouse design which creates a very unusual split-level saloon—the most enormous amount of living space on a 55' boat that we've ever seen ! The dual-level design creates two distinct living areas - at top level is the nav table, plus breakfast bar/evening cocktails seating. The lower level is the main saloon and galley, with tons of seating and cooking space (needed for our fun evenings-under-the-stars - dinner for ten, PLUS guests from another boat is not unusual! :)
She has 4 double guest cabins; the f'ard ones can also be bunkbeds. The additional skipper's cabin is up f'ard; and for extra-large groups, Vassilis can sometimes take 9 guests in total, with an extra single just off the saloon. There are 4 heads (bathrooms), and with the shower on the aft swim platform also, there's no lining up for a shower on this boat!
Vassilis is rigged to be easily handled by two people (or one, with the invaluable aid of "Otto the Autohelm!") With furling sails for both main and genoa, she's a real breeze to sail. The teak decks are wonderfully uncluttered with heaps of sunbathing space (a big priority!!)
