Greece-and-Turkey "combo" trips

If you book early, there are often some good deals for flying into Athens and out of Istanbul, or vice versa.

However, the best fares sometimes mean a RT flight to just one city; Athens is usually the easiest. Fortunately, it's very easy to get from Athens to our rendezvous points in Turkey.

Here's the most popular route:

  • Domestic flight from Athens to Rhodes, 45 mins (Olympic Airlines or Aegean Air)
  • Rhodes is a fun island to spend a night, if you have time - email us for pension recommendations!
  • There usually two ferries daily between Rhodes-Marmaris; approx 9am and 4pm. Takes 1hr.
  • Bus/taxi to our base in Keci Buku (30 mins).

If your trip starts in Greece and ends in Turkey, just reverse the above!

    Flying to / from Istanbul

From Istanbul, the easiest connection is a domestic flight to Dalaman; approx 90mins. It is a 90min taxi ride from Dalaman to our home base of Keci Buku; or an hour into Marmaris - overnight in the "big metropolis"! - then a bus/taxi to Keci Buku in the morning (30mins)

Some other ferry routes for this area:

    • Samos—Kusadasi (approx 90mins)
    • Kos—Bodrum (45-50 mins)
    • Rhodes—Marmaris (1hr)

Samos, Rhodes and Kos all have regular & easy flight connections with Athens. These islands are also linked to each other via the local ferry system.

Kusadasi is the closest port to the famous ancient city of Ephesus - well worth a visit!
